The moving particle semi-implicit(MPS)method was adopted to simulate the process of droplet impact on liquid film with an angle in three dimensions for solving the large deformation of the free surface. The droplet deformation
impact crater
central jet
and their development were observed. The influences of different impact angles on the height
angle and the foreland movement of the central jet were analyzed. The results show that the speed of movement is almost constant at the highest point of the central jet in horizontal direction. The angle between the jet and the plane surface decreases with the decrease in the impact angle
and it decreases dramatically after the central jet reaches the highest point by gravity and viscosity.
