The CFD software was used to simulate the flow field of Bingham viscous debris flow which mainly consists of soil in solid matter. A 3-D land model of debris flow was established with CAD software AutoCAD/Unigraphics(UG). By analyzing the rheological character of debris flow fluid
a Bingham computational model was built up. The CFD software CFX was used to simulate 3-D distributions of velocity and pressure fields of debris flow
and the results were expressed via the section of CFX-Post. It is concluded that numerical simulation of debris flow fluid can be performed with CFD software to practically evade and control debris flow.
