Experimental tests were carried out on the performance of a prototype NH

O-LiBr absorption chiller with two heat regenerators to improve that of the same type of the chiller without any regenerator. Four groups of solutions with different compositions were tested in the experiments
i.e.
all 50% of NH

concentration
and 0%
15%
30% and 38% of LiBr concentration
respectively. The results show that the pressure in the generator decreased significantly after adding LiBr to the system. The pressure in the generator declined with the increase in LiBr concentration at the same temperature. Moreover
the coefficient of performance of the system with regenerators increased from 0.280(for the system without regenerators)to 0.457. It seems that the principle of the prototype system could be applied in industrial products although it should be improved further.
