为提高存在光照变化场景的视频的编码效率
提出一种基于局部亮度补偿的视频编码方法.该方法先计算当前块和匹配块的空间邻近Γ型区域的平均亮度差异
然后用该亮度差异对匹配块进行亮度补偿
进而提高预测精度
最后计算差值信号并对差值信号进行编码.此外
为消除局部亮度变化对运动估计的影响
采用纹理匹配准则进行运动估计
提高运动估计所得的匹配块与当前块的纹理相似度.与H.264标准采用的加权预测方法相比
该方法可以对图像中不同的区域采用不同的参数进行亮度补偿
因此可以进一步提高编码效率.实验结果表明
在恢复视频质量相同的条件下
该方法的编码比特率较H.264标准采用的加权预测方法的编码比特率平均下降了2.34%.
A local luminance compensation method is proposed to improve the coding efficiency of videos which contain scenes with luminance variation. The average luminance difference between the Г shape neighboring area of the current block and that of the matching block is calculated. Then the difference is used to compensate the matching block so as to improve the prediction accuracy. Finally
residual signals are calculated and encoded. Moreover
the texture matching criterion is used to search the best matching block to eliminate the influence of local luminance variation on motion estimation. Compared with the weighted prediction utilized in H.264 standard
the proposed method uses different parameters to compensate different areas
therefore the coding efficiency can be further improved. Experimental results and comparisons with the weighted prediction utilized in H.264 standard show that the proposed method achieves 2.34% average bit rate saving under the condition of the same quality of reconstructed videos.
