Mechanism Analysis on the Effect of High-Frequency AC Electric Field on Premixed Lean Burn Flame
In order to clarify the affecting mechanism of high frequency AC electric field on flame combustion
two premixed lean gases including CH
4
/Air with the initial pressures of 0.1
0.3
0.5 MPa and CH
4
/O
2
/Ar with the initial pressures of 0.1 MPa were selected as the research object. The high-frequency AC electric field with the amplitude of 5 kV and the frequency of 15 kH- was applied on the mesh electrodes within the combustion bomb. The flame p
ropagation characteristics of the two premixed gases under the high-frequency AC electric field and the flame propagation characteristics of CH
4
/Air at different initial pressures were analy-ed. The results show that the degree of influence of the electric field on the development of the CH
4
/Air flame surface gradually decreases
and the increase rate of average flame propagation velocity gradually decreases with the initial pressure increasing under high-frequency AC electric field. With the
