)combustion characteristics of semi-coke and analyze the diffusional effect
thermogravimetric analysis was used to explore the diffusional effect on the oxy-fuel combustion characteristics of semi-coke
and relevant kinetic analysis was performed. In addition
a mathematical model of oxygen diffusion rate in the reaction was established for analysis. The experiment investigated the combustion characteristics of semi-coke under changed conditions referring to the atmosphere
the height and diameter of crucible
and the mass of semi-coke at different internal and external diffusion rates. The results of thermogravimetric experiments show that with the reduction of external diffusion distance in the combustion reaction and the thickness of the semi-coke bed as well as the increase of contact area with oxyge
n on the surface of semi-coke and the oxygen concentration in the reaction atmosphere
the diffusion resistance and burnout temperature are decreased
while the oxygen diffusion rate
average reaction rate
combustion characteristic index and activation energy are all increased
and the combustion characteristics are improved. The experimental results may provide a theoretical reference for the application of oxy-fuel combustion of semi-coke and the study of diffusional effect.
