Influences of Rotor Structure on the Electromagnetic Force Harmonics,Vibration and Noise of Claw Pole Alternator
To reduce the electromagnetic force harmonics of the claw pole alternator for weakening vibration and noise
the influences of rotor structure on main force harmonics are analyzed using analytic method. First
an electromagnetic analytic model of claw pole alternator is established taking rotor structural parameters into account
and the accuracy of the analytic model is validated by finite element method. Then the effects of pole tip and pole root on main force harmonics inducing vibration and noise are discussed. Results indicate that
as the variation range of pole tip and pole root is within the limit of 15%
the power generating performance is hardly affected
and suitable pole tip and root values can be selected to reduce the electromagnetic force harmonics. The maximum vibration acceleration of the improved alternator is reduces by 20%
