A method to evaluate the matching effect between a torque converter and the loader system is proposed to solve the non-association among the torque converter design
the selection process
and the load under cyclic working condition. The method uses the torque converter performance matching index and is based on the cyclic working condition of the loader. The method is different from the traditional torque converter static bench test
and is designed and conducted based on the loader power flow route. The ratio distribution related to the load is rationally and effectively applied to the performance matching index between the torque converter and the loader on the basis of parameter distribution statistics of the torque converter under typical working condition. The results of a practical example show that the performance matching index reflects the focus of the load distribution and can be used in the process of customized design and selection of a torque converter for specific load characteristic.
