Taking high capacity middle-voltage converter as an example
a goal programming theory-based PEBB(power electronic building block)design scheme is proposed and a mathematical model for optimal module design is established. This goal oriented scheme essentially obeys the situation analysis. The goal expression and the related constraints can be described with different target
and then the optimal module model associated with the goals is determined. The main circuit and the PEBB parameters are confirmed by solving the model with limited integer variables and nonlinear components by searching and exhaustion methods. The corresponding converter is constructed and experiments show that the steady output disturbance gets less than 3% and the transient voltage drop less than 10%. The goal programming theory-based PEBB design scheme can be applied to the other developed converters with module designing requirements.
