A Spectrum Sensing Scheme with Weighted Collaboration of Dynamical Clustering Using Space-Time Block Code
A dynamical clustering based weighted collaborative spectrum sensing(DC-WCSS)scheme with space-time block code is proposed to solve the problem that the traditional collaborative spectrum sensing cannot improve the detection performance of the spectrum sensing efficiently caused by the non-ideal reporting channel and inter-user channel in cognitive radio networks. At first
the proposed scheme groups the two secondary users with the highest average signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)of the inter-user channel into a cluster and the remaining users are grouped into clusters in the same way. Then
the weighted factors are assigned to the secondary users according to the contributions of their detection results to the system detection performance. Finally
the space-time block code is adopted in each cluster to enhance the resulting transmission. Since the design of the dynamical clusters based on average SNRs of the inter-user channels and the allocation of the weighted factors to the secondary users take the reliability of the users' detection results into account
the DC-WCSS scheme can decrease the bit error rate of the reporting channels and improve the system detection performance. Simulation results show that the DC-WCSS outperforms the transmit diversity based on collaborative spectrum sensing scheme and its first-weighted scheme and second-weighted scheme can get at least 20% and 30% increase in the system sensing performance
respectively
when the false alarm probability is 0.3.
