Double-jet film-cooling is able to significantly improve the film cooling effect
whereas has poor lateral cooling result. A new double-jet film cooling with trench is presented. The film holes are embedded in transverse trench perpendicular to the flow direction. To consider the influence of trench inclined angles on the film cooling characteristic
commercial software CFX and shear stress transport(SST)turbulence model are applied to numerically investigate the flow and film cooling characteristics of the double-jet film-cooling with trench at the averaged blowing ratio of 1.9. It is shown that the configuration with trench obviously improves the film transverse distribution on the cooled surfaces
and increases the film transverse cover area and enhances the film cooling effectiveness. The trench inclined angle greatly affects film cooling effectiveness
which reaches the best in the case of 30°. An uncooled zone far from the film holes along the centerline is found
