Aiming at the strong nonlinearity and uncertain parameters in flight control of air-to-air missile
a robust controller with coefficient diagram method(CDM)is designed according to the CDM essentiality and dynamic characteristics of air-to-air missiles. The effects of equivalent time constant
stability index and stability limit on the controller designed by CDM standard form is obtained via missile coefficient diagram analysis. The comprehensive evaluation index from response rate in time domain and stability margin in frequency domain is established
and genetic algorithm is chosen to optimize the control parameters. Simulation for various fixed point models verifies that the proposed controller possesses fine response and robust performance in controlling an air-to-air missile
and the control system with simple structure is prone to implementation.
