The feedwater temperature of thermal power units always decreases with the electricity load. In order to solve this problem
an ejector heat pump has been integrated with a regenerative system in this study. The live steam is used to inject the extraction steam of the regenerative system
and then the mixture steam is led to an added heater(low load condition heater)to heat the feedwater. The results of our study show that the pressure of the mixture steam decreases with an increase in the entrainment ratio
and an optimum entrainment ratio exists. For a 660 MW supercritical air cooling unit
when the load ratio is 60%
the optimum entrainment ratio is 0.65 and the feedwater temperature rises by 36.4 ℃
and the standard coal consumption rate decreases by 1.2 g/(kW·h). When the value of the entrainment ratio approaches the optimum value
the energy-saving effect changes gently with the change in the entrainment ratio. Our results indicate that the requirement of the selective catalytic reduction(SCR)devices and the cost of the low load condition heater should be comprehensively considered in choosing the entrainment ratio so as to achieve the optimum technique-economics and energy-saving effect when the systems are designed.
