To obtain the film pressure distribution of multi-groove water-lubricated rubber bearing and overcome the shortcomings in the existing measurements for lubrication film pressure of sliding bearing
a new wireless measurement method is introduced. The radial flow guiding holes and axial flow guiding holes are punched on shaft and shaft shoulder in different positions
through which the water film pressure is propagated. The pressure sensors are installed in the axial flow guiding holes
and the wireless data acquisition transmitter is installed in the end of the shaft
then the damage of lubrication state for bearing working face can be avoided
and the circumferential continuous distribution of water film pressure for corresponding bearing sections can be acquired. The collected data of water film pressure are transmitted by digital signal via wireless transmission. Compared with the traditional measurement schemes
here complex arrangements of wire are unnecessary
the operation is simple
and the measuring accuracy gets higher. The experimental measurements for multi-groove rubber bearings with concave staves and flat staves show the feasibility and effectiveness
and this measurement technique can also be used for measuring lubrication film pressure of other sliding bearings.
