Reaction Mechanism and Kinetics of Oil2Bearing Sewage Disposal by Supercritical Water Oxidation
The conventional t reatment s are unable to effectively remove t he chemical oxygen<br />demand ( COD) of waste water p roduced during oil ext raction
and t hus
it has seriously<br />t hreatened t he environment and t he normal production of oil2field. An advanced met hod for oilO<br />bearing sewage t reatment
supercritical water oxidation (SCWO)
was proposed. The oxidative<br />degradation was investigated and the process of SCWO was explained wit h mechanism of f ree<br />radical reaction. The experimental result s show t hat SCWO is a high2efficiency t reatment and<br />disposal technique for organic wastes. Temperat ure and residence time serve as t he main influence<br />factors in removing COD of oil2bearing sewage
with which the COD removal rate obviously<br />increases. The reaction of SCWO is 1162 order in sewage COD and 0. 22 order in oxygen
t he<br />f requency factor and activation energy are (3153 -3133) -103 and (92. 2 -919) kJ -mol - 1 under<br />26 MPa
