The effects of three refrigerant circuitries on the indoor coil in a split-type air-source heat pump using R22 were investigated numerically by EVAP-COND 2.0. The results show that both the air-and-refrigerant temperature difference and overall heat transfer coefficient change with the space location. Moreover
the evaporator capacity with NU-shape arrangement is 1.5% and 3.25% more than that with counter and parallel arrangements
respectively. Furthermore
the condenser capacity with parallel arrangement is 7.4% and 1.28% more than that with counter and NU-shape arrangements
respectively. From the sum of condenser capacity and evaporator capacity
it seems that the NU-shape arrangement might be the reasonable one for indoor coil with higher energy efficiency in both cooling cycle and heating cycle.
