surfactant CTAB as the templet and structure-directing agent
nano-TiO
2
mesoporous materials doped with Fe were synthesized by hydrothermal method. The as-synthesized titania was characterized by XRD
TEM and N
2
adsorption-desorption isotherm. It is found that the particles get primarily spherical and well dispersed with anatase phase
the crystallite size is approximately within the range of 10-15 nm
and the pore structure among particles appears as mesoporous texture lacking long-range order with the most probable aperture about 20 nm. Compar
ed with ordinary nano-sized powder
the mesoporous materials are endowed with much higher adsorption capability and decolorization rate for dye. Being irradiated under the sunlight for 60 min
the compound completely degrades the blue dye.
