Aerodynamic performance of two kinds of annular turbine cascade with non-axisymmetric endwall
which are designed with trigonometric function profiling method and pressure difference profiling method
are experimentally investigated with an annular cascade wind tunnel test rig. The results show that the total pressure loss in both cascades with non-axisymmetric endwall are lowered compared with that in axisymmetric annular cascade
which decreases by 7.78% and 10.20% respectively for these two cascades on the 2 mm measuring plane downstream of the cascade trailing edge. And on the 4 mm measuring plane downstream of the cascade trailing edge
the total pressure loss decreases by 9.70% and 14.22% respectively. These two profiling methods for non-axisymmetric endwall are validated by the experiments to provide a useful technique for reducing the secondary flow loss and to improve the efficiency of turbine cascade.
