To speed up the generating procedure of work order and guarantee the operation safety
a rule-based algorithm for the automatic generation of work order description language is presented. According to the selected equipment and on the basis of the knowledge of the electrical industry
the link list of operating devices is automatically derived from an electrical system drawing. The interpretation and translation from device operation to natural language is established with the help of the rule-based inferential mechanism. As a result
a complete and exact operation description is created. The experimental results show that this algorithm is about 20 times faster than the traditional method. Thus
the labor intensity of operators can be effectively reduced and the operation safety can be guaranteed. The proposed algorithm has been used in tens of electrical enterprises.
