Mallat algorithm and lifting scheme are adopted to realize the ultra-high-speed protection for EHV transmission line
and the performance is investigated. Through a large number of ATP simulations and comparison of operation speed
requirement for auxiliary memory
sensitivity
reliable protection zone between Mallat algorithm and lifting scheme
it indicates that lifting scheme enables to evidently improve the performance of ultra-high-speed protection on operation speed and memory requirement without effects on the other characteristics
and the order of wavelet vanishing moment ought to be selected properly for ultra-high-speed protection.
