A coupling model of antenna and an adaptive multilevel fast multipole algorithm(AMLFMA)are introduced for the analysis of the broad band coupling of antennae on electrically large targets. By expanding the basis functions and weight functions with Dirac functions in different spatial position
the impedance integration calculation of the AMLFMA can be simplified and all the transformation procedure can be calculated by fast Fourier transformation. Combining AMLFMA with asymptotic
wave form evaluation technique(AWE)the broad band currents on antennae can be calculated rapidly. The broad band coupling of antennae can be calculated via microwave two ports theory. Numerical and experiment results show that the CPU time and memory needed for the analysis procedure using AMLFMA/AWE are less than MLFMA/AWE method by 30% under the same precision.
