By analyzing the model of transmission energy consumption of the WSN nodes and on the basis of study on time-sensitive applications
a control algorithm based on dynamic threshold mechanism is presented to improve the directed diffusion algorithm. Utilizing the inherent correlation of sample data and non-hard threshold and after realizing the dynamical adjustment of threshold according to the transmission interval of sample data
the basic directed diffusion algorithm is improved. Simulation studies demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can decrease the wireless transmission times so as to extend the lifetime of sensor nodes of WSN by more than 30%. It can adjust the threshold dynamically with changing of sample data
and thereby satisfy the requirements of time-sensitive application
and it is suitable for one-off and persistent queries.
