To reduce the fuel consumption and to improve machine operating efficiency
an energy saving power system technique based on the hydraulic hybrid excavator is proposed. Adopting independently slewing hydraulic pump/motor drivers
the engine works preserve in the optimum area. Combining with the working condition of excavator slewing and the analysis of the characteristic of the hydraulic hybrid system
a control strategy of slewing is designed. As the parameters of slewing system get uncertain
a segment variable structure controller based on the intelligent proportion integral differential(PID)is designed. The simulations show that the method improves system effectiveness and applicability
and the intelligent PID torque control method is more suitable for the operational requirements of slewing
the faster response
smoother slewing motion control and higher energy recovery
