To supply equipment importance information for condition-based maintenance(CBM)decision-making
following the system risk index described by power loss
the applicability of sensitivity index and risk difference index in CBM are considered.Then a transmission equipment importance evaluation model is proposed
which reflects the system risk increment caused by the equipment current condition. The theory derivation and instance analysis show that sensitivity index and risk difference can not correctly reflect system risk incremental caused by equipment current condition
while this model avoids the weakness with good applicability for CBM.
