Aiming at the perfect maintenance with the lowest system risk based on equipment condition
the scoring system for transmission and substation equipment state evaluation is referenced to establish a least squares model for estimating the equipment failure rate. By analyzing the sensitivity index
the risk increment index is introduced for assessing equipment importance. Taking sequential changes of system operation state and equipment condition into account
a transmission equipment maintenance scheduling model is proposed
which minimizes the total risk in the planning period. The risk increment index and the maintenance scheduling are verified by analyzing the IEEE RTS-79 standard system.
