A fractional-order state-observer is proposed and the synchronization between 2.7-order unified chaotic systems is realized based on the control method of state-observer. The results simulated by Matlab prove that the scheme is applicable to either integral-order systems or fractional-order systems. The state-observer based chaotic synchronization facilitates the engineering realization without calculating the system Lyapunov index and establishes the groundwork for the factual applications of chaotic system and the fractional-order chaotic system.
