According to the principle of switched reluctance starter/generator(SRS/G)
a method for modeling SRS/G system is proposed
where the power inverter of SRS/G and its circuit are constructed with circuit components
and PI parameters are adjusted and optimized following the SRM small signal model. The variation parameters speed PI control and the current chop control are used when SRM operates in the starting state
whereas the variation parameters voltage PI control and angel position control are used in case of generator. Simulation and experimental results are compared to demonstrate the validity of the modeling method
which enables clearly to modify and analyze the different control strategies to offer one kind of effective tool for SRS/G control system.
