Comprehensive and systematic analysis on geometric model of scroll compressors was conducted on the basis of perfect meshing profile. Equations for calculating volume of working chambers
suction port area
length of leakage lines
and heat transfer area with respect to the orbiting angle were derived. Leakage line was assumed to be involute whose starting angle equals that of the scroll line. The coordinate of vertices was computed by analytic method and the discharge port area and compact area of axial force were calculated precisely by integrating along the boundaries. In addition
the geometric model was applied to simulate a prototype of scroll compressor and reasonable results were obtained.
