Following the idea of passivity-based control and the theory of stator-flux-oriented control
and choosing the stator currents and the stator flux linkages(stator-flux frame)as the state variables of the electrical subsystems
a new interconnection and damping-assignment passivity-based controller and its stability region are presented. Based on theoretical analyses
it is concluded that describing induction motor model as an Euler-Lagrange system becomes unnecessary
and the mathematic definition of the decoupled dynamics condition is strict excessively. The effectiveness
stability and the satisfactory performance of the proposed controller
as well as the conclusions proposed are validated by the simulated and experimental results.
