Leakage inductance is one of the primary parameters in transformer relay protection and on-line monitoring technology. An online identification algorithm for transformer leakage inductance is proposed with recursive weighted least-square algorithm. The equivalent circuit equation of the transformer is achieved to derive the model identifying the leakage inductance. Through analyzing the identifiability of transformer model
two different methods are presented for the identification of resistance and leakage inductance parameters. The experimental transformer circuit model is designed to verify the online identification algorithm. The dynamic test shows that this algorithm is stable and imperious to the fluctuation of loads or power factor
and the identification results have a higher accuracy.
