By investigating voltage division caused by linear impedance of electrode in screen printed carbon nanotube field emission display(CNT-FED)with diode structure
it was found that linear impedance of electrodes caused 0.2% variation of electrical field between different pixels
that resulted in 24 grey-scale died away in 8-bit grayscale display(256 grey scales). Therefore
a reconstruction method for electrode of CNT-FED is presented. By amending the electrode and adding a feedback impedance on cathode
the impedance variation between pixels and the total impedance are decreased from 0.2% to 0.000 3%. Field emission current variation is restrained
and the pixels are protected against over-current. Distortion of 256 grey scales display is eliminated with new electrodes
and luminance uniformity of CNT-FED is effectively improved.
