Experiments of biomass conversion to produce hydrogen-rich gas are carried out in gasification and reforming reactors. Three types of catalysts
i.e. nickel-based catalyst
calcium-based catalyst and mechanical mixture of the two catalysts
are adopted to catalyze gasification and reforming for hydrogen-rich gas. With temperature increasing
three types of catalysts show the enhanced catalytic conversion capabilities of heavy hydrocarbon
while Ni-based catalyst and mechanical mixture of the two catalysts demonstrate the upgraded catalytic reforming capacities of light hydrocarbon. In the range of 750 to 950 ℃
the mechanical mixture exerts the optimum catalytic effect. The hydrogen concentration gets 40.3% - 49.3%
47.9% - 54.1% and 53.6%
- 59.7%
respectively; and the H
2
yield reaches 64.0
57.9
and 79.4 g/kg
respectively
corresponding to these catalysts.
