Effect of Doping Cu2+on Photocatalytic Activity of Perovskite Oxides LaFeO3 for Hydrogen Evolution from Water
(x=0-0.07)was prepared by a conventional citrate complex method. The structure
shape
particle size
the photon absorption performance and surface property of the prepared LaFe
1-x
Cu
x
O
3
(x=0-0.07)were investigated by using XRD
TEM
UV-VIS DRS
XPS and PLS techniques. Perovskite oxides LaFeO
3
prepared is a kind of nano-sized material. Perovskite oxides LaFeO
3
has the good absorption property in UV-visible region
and a series of Cu-doped LaFeO
3
have more respondence to the visible light. Under UV light irr
adiation
H
2
can be produced by photocatalytic decomposingof water over the prepared LaFe
1-x
Cu
x
O
3
(x=0-0.07). Doping Cu
2+
can enhance the photocatalytic activity of LaFeO
3
to a certain extent
and the optimal doping molar fraction of catalyst is 0.05.
