catalysts are prepared by the method of thermal sulfidation of the precursor. The catalysts are characterized by X-ray diffraction patterns UV-Vis diffuse reflection spectrum and scanning electron microscopy techniques. The sulfidation temperature
the sulfidation time and the amount of Pt are taken into account as reaction conditions. The photocatalytic activity for H

evolution is observed under visible light irradiation. The highest activity of hydrogen evolution is achieved when the sulfidation temperature
the sulfidation time and the loading mass fraction of Pt are 350
℃
1 h and 0.5%
respectively
the hydrogen evolution rate is 107.6 μmol/(h·g)
the apparent quantum yield at 420 nm is 6.72% and the energy conversion efficiency in the visible light region is 1.73%.
