Passivity-Based Efficiency Optimization Control for Induction Motor under Minimum Magnetic Energy Principle
Following the idea and approach of interconnection and damping assignment passivity-based controller design
and according to the minimum magnetic energy criterion
a new torque tracking and efficiency-optimizing controller for induction motors is presented. Because the efficiency optimizing and torque tracking aim at the electrical subsystem
the optimizing law of the rotor-flux norm is independent of the rotor resistance
and the measurements of rotor variables get unnecessary
then the robustness of the control system is enhanced. Furthermore
the control law is defined globally without controller singularities
so the dynamic and static performances are ensured by the fast tracking of the desired torque and rotor-flux norm. The simulation results validate that the power factor is improved effectively while the system keeps satisfactory dynamic and static properties.
