the equivalent magnetic circuit model(EMCM)for the machine is constructed
where the equivalent magnetic circuit concept is introduced. The mathematical formulas of air-gap permeance are derived in one phase cycle
and the nonlinear equivalent magnetic circuit equations for MCSRM are solved with the Gauss-Seidel method. Then
the static characteristics and steady-state operation performance of MCSRM are predicted by the nonlinear magnetic parameter method. The computing rate for this model gets much higher than finite element method and it is suitable for initial machine design. The electromagnetic characteristics are obtained with the finite element analyzing software and the error of the proposed model is less than 20%.
