A calculating model considering nonlinearity of both the transformer inductance and the losses is presented
where the simulated transformer is by nonlinear inductance and resistance in parallel. The calculating method for the characteristic curves of the nonlinear inductance and resistance with the data of voltage
current and power losses measured in no-load test is proposed to simulate and evaluate the ferroresonance overvoltage
and the experiments are accomplished to verify the accuracy. The results show that the error between simulation and experiment approaches 3.81% and 0.2% respectively for the peak value of transformer voltage and circuit current by nonlinear resistance model
far lower than 19.5% and 15.9% by constant resistance model.
