The laminar combustion characteristics of ETBE-ethanol-tert-butyl alcohol-air mixtures were studied at various equivalences ratios(0.8-1.4)and initial temperatures(373 K
423 K and 473 K)by using a constant volume combustion bomb and Schlieren photography. The influences of equivalence ratios and initial temperatures on the combustion characteristics were analyzed. The results show that the stretched flame speed
the unstretched flame speed
the stretched laminar burning speed and the unstretched laminar burning speed increase with the increase of the initial temperature. The unstretched laminar burning speed exhibits a maximum value at the equivalence ratio of 1.1. The Markstein length increases with the increase of the initial temperature and decreases with the increase of the equivalence ratio. The ratio of the peak combustion pressure to the mass of mixture shows a maximum value at the equivalence ratio of 1.1
and this ratio increases with the increase of the initial temperature.
