To obtain the reasonable model of double rollers clamping expanding spinning
based on ABAQUS/Explicit
two models are established in case of unrotating rotating workpiece. Following the two models
the forming process for right-angle flange is analyzed. And then the effects of two models on simulation are investigated in terms of roller path
dynamic effects
computing time and computing results. Compared with the model for rotating workpiece
the model for unrotating workpiece enables to improve the calculation accuracy and shorten computing period. Although stress and stain distributions of the two models are similar at the same place of the workpiece
the equivalent stress and strain values obtained from the model for rotating workpiece get greater. It is verified that the model for unrotating workpiece is the optimal one to simulate double rollers clamping expanding spinning process with finite element method.
