An experimental system was established to test the performance of a regenerator under winter conditions
and the experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of the inlet parameters of the air and the LiCl aqueous solution on the performance of the regenerator. The results show that both the evaporation rate and the humidity effectiveness increased with the increase in the desiccant flow rate. The increase in the inlet air humidity ratio almost had no influence on the evaporation rate and the humidity effectiveness. The evaporation rate and the humidity effectiveness increased slightly with the increase in the inlet air temperature and decreased with the increase in the air flow rate. The evaporation rate increased and the humidity effectiveness decreased with the increase in the inlet desiccant temperature. In addition
the evaporation rate decreased and the humidity effectiveness increased with the increase in the inlet desiccant concentration.
