Two kinds of flat electrorheological valve(ER-valve)prototypes
single-channel and double-channel ER-valve
are designed with electrorheological technology. Pressure-flow equations of the two kinds of flat ER-valves are analyzed
and the intensity of the flat ER-valves is also solved by finite element method. Following the theoretical analysis
the two kinds of flat ER-valves and the corresponding experimental system are manufactured. The key parameter
pressure difference between entrance and exit affecting ability of flat ER-valves
is experimentally investigated. It shows that pressure difference increases with raising flow and increases linearly with heightened input voltage. The pressure difference of the single-channel ER-valve gets 0.12 MPa as the voltage is 110 kV and flow is 211.2 mL/min.
