Assuring key equipment to run safely is crucial to improve the reliability of mechanical equipment. However
it is difficult for the classical reliability analysis methods to achieve the reliability assessment of single equipment. An operating reliability assessment method by equipment response condition information is proposed. Wavelet packet analysis and distance evaluation are employed to extract and optimize response covariates reflecting the equipment operation state. And combining with proportional covariate model
the quantitative calculation scheme for the baseline response covariate function is proposed. Then the reliability assessment model is established to achieve the reliability assessment
where sensitive response covariate is introduced by means of covariate optimization
and the baseline response covariate function is gained and the operating reliability is evaluated. The proposed strategy is applied to reliability assessment of cutting tool of CNC machine to verify the rationality and efficiency.
